Date.co.uk is owned by Spark Networks Ltd, an American company with over ten years of experience in the dating industry in the USA. Date.co.uk is their offering to the UK dating market and they have drawn on their past successes to offer a feature packed site in which you’ll find a tongue in cheek astrology guide. It’s a bit of fun and helps to break the ice when wondering what your opening line should be when contacting other members. The star sign guide is just one of numerous articles in their directory and they appear to add more each month. The FAQ page is not extensive but there are plenty of articles about online dating safety, dating tips and relationship advice. The language is (understandably) American in parts and the tone is not too serious, but there are some fundamental guidelines in there which should be borne in mind while using any online dating website. Many of the larger towns and cities in England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland are represented.

Date the UK is another of Easy Date’s range of websites. It boasts a huge membership and offers profile matching by post code. It’s free to join and to build a photo profile after which you can start searching the database for suitable matches. There’s a table on the site which compares the features on offer with those of Dating Direct and Match.com. Interestingly it shows that the site contains two features not available on Dating Direct and five features not available on Match.com. At the time of writing this review, a monthly subscription to Date the UK is cheaper than Dating Direct and only a little more that the Match.com price. Those features include; seeing who’s been viewing your profile, creating a list of your favourite profiles, text and video chat, comment posting on profiles, video recording, profile blocking, and SMS messaging. So it has all the essential features to make it an entertaining and enjoyable dating website. Definitely worth a try.

My-UK-Dating.co.uk is a network of UK dating websites with satellite sites for Aberdeen, Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Oxford, Hampshire, Essex, and Sussex. It’s also possible to search for profiles abroad as this network of sites are themselves part of a larger network. Registration, navigation and use are easy and straightforward. Anyone who can browse websites and send emails will not have any trouble using this site which is free from the clutter of extra functions that you probably won’t want to use. Once you are logged in and viewing a profile there are three handy links at the foot of the page which allow you to send a link to that profile to friends you may have on Facebook and MySpace or to your Twitter account. Of course this helps the site owner’s to promote the site but it also allows you to play Cupid by introducing friends to likely matches.
