Their trained staff are used to welcoming nervous first time speed daters and put newcomers at their ease. Nerves are soon forgotten and many later enthuse about the friendly welcome they received and how much the enjoyed the event.

Speed Dater Online is a bit different to the usual online dating website in that it encourages its members to make jump direct from cyberspace to a speed dating event. The emphasis here is to spend less time online and more time in front of other single people. This is, after all, the whole idea of online dating but where other sites take a longer road, Speed Dater takes a short cut. In 2008 this site was acquired by Easy Date Ltd and added to their growing portolio of dating websites. There’s a good help section that covers all the important areas from general administration and site usage to tips on how to avoid scammers should you have the misfortune to be contacted by one. Other than the homepage there’s no preview function or site tour so you’ll have to register in order to find out more about it and to browse some full profiles, but given the pedigree of the site’s owners you should find that this site offers value for money and produces the desired results.

Speed Dater Events is the companion site to Speed Dater Online. It’s homepage lists speed dating events all around the UK so you can search for events to within a distance of 150 miles of your chosen post code. The options are arrange according to age ranges and there’s even the choice of younger women and older men, and younger men and older women. The events last about two and half hours during which members register and the the main speed dating event takes place. After the main event the post party socialising begins so presumably attendees can choose to continue with what they started. Speed dating is just one of a range events that are organised by this group. There are also dinner parties, ‘lock and key’ parties, holidays for single people, and other special events revolving around bringing single people together to socialise and flirt.
